Large, diverse and closely connected to the Atlantic City region
Egg Harbor Township stretches across a large part of eastern Atlantic County, combining long-established village areas with newer residential neighborhoods, commercial districts and extensive open space. Major routes include the Black Horse Pike (U.S. 40/322), Tilton Road, English Creek Avenue and Ocean Heights Avenue, with the Atlantic City Expressway and Garden State Parkway nearby.
The township’s scale gives it a character unlike the compact municipalities surrounding Atlantic City. Residents can move from busy retail corridors to wooded trails, freshwater lakes and bayside landscapes within the same municipality. The William J. Hughes Technical Center and aviation-related facilities also make the township an important regional employment center.

Egg Harbor Township Nature Reserve
A roughly 220-acre preserve centered around a lake and wooded habitat, with a network of trails for walking, running, biking, fishing and bird watching. Swimming, camping and hunting are not permitted.
Tony Canale Park
One of the township’s major recreation complexes, with an amphitheater, playground, walking/running route, tennis, volleyball and athletic fields.
